Saskatchewan No Longer A "Have Not" Province?

The latest report from the Canada West Foundation states that Saskatchewan has the fastest growing economy in all of Canada. This is also confirmed by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) stating that Saskatchewan small business should expect strong business conditions. For the longest time Saskatchewan was always looked at as being basically a farming province with little to offer the rest of Canada. It is amazing how times have changed and now our province is in the spotlight. For years we were deemed as a "Have Not" province but in today’s market people are looking at us with new found respect. The Saskatoon real estate market is a perfect indicator to show people the turn our province has made. The Saskatoon real estate market was the fastest growing market in 2007 and reports from organizations like Scotia Bank indicate that we will again lead the country in real estate growth. This is a perfect opportunity to get started in the real estate market as there is still affordable property available. Whether you are a first time home buyer, looking to sell your home or looking for investment property, contact me and I will be happy to assist you with any real estate needs in Saskatoon or the surrounding areas.

Why Use A Realtor When Buying?

Many people think the process of buying a house is a very easy one... that is until they get burned from buying privately. As many of you know the Saskatoon real estate market is very hot so there is an abundance of people looking to both buy and sell homes. No matter if your looking to buy or sell there are many benefits and ways working with a real estate agent can protect you and your investment.
When buying a home a Saskatoon real estate agent has the ability to access new listings even before they hit the general public. This gives you a competitive advantage over people that are not working with an agent. Realtors are trained in real estate law and can help guide you through a smooth transaction process. When making one of the largest investments of your life you want to be sure everything runs as smooth as possible. Working with a Realtor gives you the advantage of having some experienced in negotiating the sale price of the property you want to buy. Your agent should be able to provide you detailed information about the property, comparables and what they sold for and be able to get you the best price possible for the property. This are tons of additional benefits of working with Saskatoon real estate agents, I recommend you visit my website for additional information. If you are interested in buying or selling real estate in Saskatoon or the surrounding area please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to assist you.

Saskatoon Real Estate Market Heating Up!

Like most real estate markets there are busy and slow periods. In 2007 the Saskatoon real estate market didn’t experience any slow periods. Our real estate market was the fastest growing market in Canada. At the end of 2007 the average selling price on a home in Saskatoon was $232,362. In January 2007 average price was $190,037 and it ended in December 2007 with $255,271.

During the holidays we saw a brief slow down which most people expected to carry until at least February or March. As we have already seen so far this year this is not the case. The Saskatoon real estate market is heating up and as early as the beginning of January we have started seeing presentation of offers (bidding wars) start to pop up again. In many cases homes are being sold after only being on the market for a few days. This trend is projected to continue throughout the year so if you were planning on waiting until spring to buy then you may want to reconsider. Whether you are looking to buy or sell a home in the Saskatoon real estate market I am your Realtor!
